Women In Business Need To Get Naked

Women in business need to get naked.

 

 

 

 

Oh yeah! get naked but, please don’t take your clothes off.  When I say get naked I want you to start to advertise, advertise and advertise.  Stand behind your product, stand behind your service, stand behind your brand.  You have to find savvy ways to tell people what you do without shoving it down their throats. Get naked by showing the world what you do and what your working with.

In order for you to be the ONE, to be the TOP CHOICE, you have to be willing to get naked.  Take off what you have been wearing and start to put on the face of your business.  Show people what your hidden talents are.  Show people what you are working with.  Show people what you are passionate about.   My mother always told me if you got it flaunt it.  Take mommies advice and flaunt it.

In order to get noticed you have to show more, be fun and be consistent. Tell your people about your business in a different and exciting way.

Start to get naked by doing the following:

  1. Send out a tip of the week, or day and give it a catchy title. For example, if you are a baker, you may want to have a “Sweet Tooth tip of the week” or include your name in it for branding “Carlton’s Sweet Tip”.
  2. Stop covering up your brand, expose it by blogging. 70% of my revenue comes from clients who are avid readers of my blog.  Think about how you can incorporate your product or service into a blog post 2-3x a month. For example as a Relationship Coach you may want to do a 3 part series called “What’s Love Got To Do With It” part 1 and then offer an relationship laser session for $97.
  3. Get in front of a camera. Don’t be afraid to do a video every once in a blue.  This gives people the opportunity to feel like they know you better and this helps to build trust.

This is just some of the ways you can begin to get naked with your business.  It is all about exposing yourself and what you have to offer.

Counterfeiting the Counterfeit: More Authenticity, Less Scarcity

According to the Wikipedia, a counterfeit is an imitation, usually one that is made with the intent of fraudulently passing it off as genuine…..

Countless opportunities are missed by entrepreneurs thinking they need to be MORE like their competitor, or MORE like someone else to succeed. I ask you to release those thoughts right now.  You are already MORE than enough in your own creative self expression.

We have enough counterfeits, who are counterfeiting the counterfeit.

Your authenticity is precious, priceless and timeless.  You will reach a higher altitude in life by knowing that there is MORE than enough for everyone to be an individual.  Everyone can get a slice of the American pie, if that’s what you desire.

There are plenty of business opportunities for everyone. The Department of Treasury is printing MORE money right now, the wind is still blowing MORE air, the sun is still generating MORE energy, the rain is still watering the harvest so MORE crops can grow. You are still meeting MORE people every day, generating MORE opportunities, and your blood is producing MORE blood cells every day.

The rain is not trying to be the wind, the cat is not trying to be a dog, and a chair is still a chair, even if no one is sitting there. But, a chair is not a house….(I could not resist that line from Luther Vandross song, A House Is Not A Home)

Remember the world works in constant motion. How do you receive and perceive yourself? Are you caught up in someone else’s motion? If things are not working out the way you hoped, you may have to check out who you are showing up as, and how much of YOUR true authenticity is in the mix.  Don’t confuse your vision by trying to live someone else’s.  You may not be moving with the rest of the world. Why? Because you may be trying to be, do and have something that is not in alignment with YOUR authentic flow. Get back on track.

Learn from others, but add MORE of you in the mix.

Sidebar: I like real macaroni and cheese made with real cheese, not processed imitation cheese.  I need the cheese that is made from whole milk, from a real cow.

 

Who Told You that Brand Stinking Lie?

Brands that are successful have a well defined position in the marketplace. Brands following the hype are just winging it on “a hope and a prayer” that their customer will “get the concept.”

Would you rather base your brand on sound principles and a firm foundation or hype of trying and buying, hoping something will work?

Here are some great Brand Re-Position examples: Gucci, Apple, Tropicana okay how about Ali Brown, Toni Robbins, Les Brown, and Walmart, okay how about Oprah excuse me, the OWN Network?

There is this buzz word called Brand going around and I think people are sitting at the edge of their seats, pinching pennies to try to make sure that their Brand is in order. Every coach and meme is talking about what TO DO; let’s look at what NOT TO DO.

The Significance of Re-launching, Re-creating and Re-branding

It is understood that serious entrepreneurs who want to thrive in their businesses invest a lot of money regularly in an effort to reinvent themselves. Please don’t do this in haste, take some time to think about the messages you want to project and the message you want perceived.

Side note: Marketing is not branding and branding is not marketing.  You create your brand, and market the brand. Got it?

Re-branding is a very vital element for the success for the business. Unfortunately most of us make detrimental and costly mistakes in the process. Everyone should clearly know the do’s and don’ts when carrying out the brand plan. Keep in mind that it takes time and repetitive efforts before a brand name is established. To avoid frustration of Identity Theft, be patient and take time in establishing a brand name and image. Think about your logo, your colors, and your look and feel. Does your brand need a slight change? A little tweaking? A little more clarity and direction?
