One of the most important assets you can develop for your business is a powerful brand. Brands are the culmination of who you are, how you’re different from your competition, and why a buyer should do business with you.

Ask yourself why should they do business with you versus your competitor? What is your signature style, look, feel, way of delivery?
Whether you’re a seasoned biz owner or small start-up, a brand has tremendous impact. Besides having a business plan, you need to establish a business brand. Branding you as an individual or your business is something you should start working on to build momentum and longevity.

Steps in establishing a super brand:

  1. Draft your brand plan
  2. Draft your brand experience
  3. Create a Brand Signature

Every time you service a client or approach a prospect, you should think about the experience you want your prospects to feel, see, and taste before and after they buy. What do you want them to feel when they visit your site, what experience you want them to have on a monthly or weekly basis howells ac. Remember the brand is the sum of you.

Your delivery of your product’s and its functionality, your customer service, your follow-up and follow-through, and your communication all add up to a successful brand experience.

Action Steps to take this week:

1. Research similar companies. You want to find out where do you stand in relation to the competition, understand what terminology, language and images resonate, assess what you like and don’t like about other brands.

2. Develop a signature message. Every household name and well known product or service has worked on creating one unified message and being able to effectively communicate it, market it, sell it and deliver on it in a strategic and systematic way. What is your signature brand message?
