Let God Crown You, Not The Streets.

To all my young girls and young women who believe the streets are loyal.

Being a Trap Queen and chasing fast money is not an aspiration.

No one is going to be there when the cuffs and shackles are put on. Your “street family” don’t visit or can’t visit, they don’t put money on your commissary, they’re not there when your name is stripped to a number and when you have to strip, squat and cough. Your man aka bae moves on to the next chick who is not in the streets. You are left with broken promises, unanswered phone calls and no mail from those you looked out for, fought for, showed up for, left your family for, and spent money on. Those you broke bread with and held down suddenly disappear and you now become a memory and your status becomes forgotten.

Fast cars become a trip on Con Air or a prison bus as you are transported from court or prison to prison. Jewelry and expensive bags become shackles and cuffs. Those brand labels you wear become sweats, tan or orange suits. The streets you once rep and your street family are replaced with cement walls, food that looks like death, steel toilets, dirty cells, 2in thick beds, used panties, women who try to test you mentally, physically and sexually, COs and counselors who take advantage.

You didn’t want to listen to your mother or mother figure when you were a “trap queen” so now that is replaced with a “prison mom” who’s doing lots of time and they show you who to trust and how to do your time.

You learn to adjust and get excited about mail call and commissary days or being moved from a holding facility like MCC to a prison so you can live a little and eat real food visit this site right here. Trading soups for cigarettes or crocheting slippers for snacks.

Trap Queens have to fight for their freedom with a public defender or paid lawyer who goes out for drinks after work with the same prosecutors who work tirelessly to give you a plea deal that is unjust or charges that give maximum sentences.

Wake up! Don’t trade your name for a number, read more at this site . Let God crown you not the streets.
