Your Voice Can Change The World!

I can not get enough of this courageous story and powerful mission of 16yr old Malala Yousafzai.  She is an example of what a lead-her looks like, sounds like and feels like.  She is not worried about having more Twitter followers, Facebook friends or becoming America’s Next Top Model. She puts the P in purpose.

In 2012, Malala was shot and nearly killed by the Taliban on her way to school.  During her recovery, Malala was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, she had the audacity to publish a book, I Am Malala, and continues to publicly, fearlessly, and boldly fight for the right for girls to have an education.

What can WomEn do today to change what happens tomorrow?

What has effected or frustrated you that you can begin to speak up and speak out about?

I have shared portions of my story as a freshman in college going to Federal prison in my book The Road to Redemption. The molestation by authorities was a horrific experience I don’t want any female inmate to have to encounter.

Did I speak up then in 1996? No

Was other women taken advantage of before and after? Yes

Could that have been prevented if someone spoke up? Absolutely
